Dumb
Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002 3:57 P.M.

Here at EIU, I have been privilaged enough to have seen some rather dumb stuff. And the fact that I am in an all guy dorm and it adds to the stupidity. For exapmle, I never knew that you could burn soup, melt bowls, and melt spoons......all at the same time(and no. this time it wasnt me). But what I witnessed last night just takes the cake.

This is a story of a guy named John and my roomate Brett. John is a nice guy. He is really quiet and shy, but when he gets going, he is a riot. Now Brett is twice his size......on a bad day. These two decided to play this game. Its called "Chicken." Rules are simple. First one to let go, looses. Well I had no clue what this game was going to be, so I decided to play. John beat me in like 2 minutes. So later on Brett and John decided to play. They were maybe 7-10 doors down and we heard it from there. SLAP SLAP SLAP SLAP So we all went down there to see what was happening.

Maybe I should explain how this game works. The two players grasp left hands and then with thier right, they slap the other's left as hard as possible and when you let go you loose.

And we heard this from down the hallway. We go in there and John's hand is swollen to twice its normal size. Brett's is a little swollen. And then thier slapping hands were swollen as hell. I had to step in and declare a draw. It was rediculas. Niether could make a fist with either hand, and they were mad at me. I should have known better than to "ruin thier fun."
